Jackknife
I found this nice paper on Jackknife, worth to read. Easy also to understand the differences between the jackknife technique and the leave-one-out one.
Actually the difference os that jackknife assume that the statistics is calculated over the whole set of points, and compared with the statistics of the set minus one element. Leave-one-out uses the statistics of the set minus one points and compare the outcomes in the eliminated point with the measure in that points. If we are applicating a Kriging the two definition coincides. In other cases they could not.
What do you mean than say difference? First row from the paper is "...jackknife or "leave one out" and then they use only jack-knife term.
